AKKA TECHNOLOGIES : Outstanding 2nd Quarter - First-half year revenue at 194.7 M. Euros

Half-year business activities grew substantially in line with this year’s objectives 

AKKA Technologies’s consolidated revenue stands at 194.7 M€. Excluding COFRAMI, organic growth is up 24.5% to 126.1 M€.

• On a like for like basis, organic growth has been spurred by many commercial successes :

AKKA Technologies was selected as subcontractor for the extended study of the A350 XWB keel beam (centre box and bottom structure). The Group is to carry out the study of the bottom structure and the centre box, a vital aircraft element located in the lower part of the central section of the fuselage. A seven-year contract has been signed for what constitutes a key component of the A- 350 aircraft’s aero-structure.

The Group was listed by EADS E2S as preferred Engineering Synergy Supplier : This listing encompasses all companies of the EADS Group in France and outside and is an addition to the Applications Service listing obtained in September 2007 in the field of management computing and information systems.

The Group was listed as supplier by BOUYGUES TELECOM : Bolstered by the expertise acquired by COFRAMI in the management of service contracts for telecommunications companies, AKKA Technologies was recently listed as major supplier to Bouygues Télécom. 

• The first half of the year confirmed that COFRAMI is poised to achieve a fast-recovery. The company is on track to reach break-even point thanks to increased productivity and rate repositioning.

• International expansion continues unabated :
  • 500 staff ;
  • The client portfolio has been widely diversified thanks to the implementation of cross-border synergies.

AKKA Technologies confirms its 2008 objectives

This first half of 2008 has seen the final integration of COFRAMI both in terms of financial balance and Group synergies and was characterized by a sustained pace of growth for the Group as a whole.

For the full financial year, AKKA Technologies will continue to pursue its twin goal of :

•  Achieving organic revenue growth above 10% ;

•   Speeding up development of its foreign subsidiaries .

Despite a tense recruiting situation, the HR department as well as all teams will do everything to hit their target of people recruited in 2008
